Father's Day.

I used Google Draw to design and create a small Father's Day photo for a keyring gift for my dad. I also wrote a poem or letter to my dad.

WALT use interesting words for Recount writing.

In the holidays, me and my little brother and my
mum went to Flip Out.

First we went to the bouncy trampoline. We jumped on it.
It made us go high.
It was fun. Then my little brother went to the hoop one.
He said, “I'm going to come here after.”
Next I went to the hoop one and I got the ball and shot the ball.
I got it in.
I went to ask my brother if he wanted a turn and he did.
So he shot the ball and he missed it but he kept trying and
he got it.

After that me and my little brother went to dodge ball.
He didn’t want to go and I didn't either, so we went back to
the other one and started to jump on it.
We had one hour left but we kept jumping until one hour
was gone. I got tired and my little brother got tired too so
me and my little brother asked my mum if we could have an
ice block. 

She said, “Yes you can.” So me and my little brother went
to get an ice block. I got the strawberry one and he got one too.
When he ate it, he wasn’t tired.
He went on the trampoline and started jumping but when
I came he went to the hoop one. He got the ball and shot
it in the hoop. 

He was as happy as a clown.
Our one hour was gone but my brother wanted to stay.
My mum said, “Come on, we have to go.”
My brother said, “Ok.” Then we went back home.
I had an amazing day.

Recount Writing-At the beach

WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.   

25th Pipiri

At the beach.

On Sunday me and my mum and my little brother went to the beach.

When we got there the water looked cold

so me and my little brother went on the sand and we built a sandcastle.

It was a big one. Then it started to rain so

we went to the car and when we got in the car

our feet were sandy and the sand got into the car. 

We got hungry and then we went to get some fish and chips.

It got cold but it stopped raining so we went back
to the beach and our sandcastle was broken.
The waves had pushed the sand over.

I felt disappointed.

So we built another sandcastle.

It was a small one but we built it bigger. It was a good sandcastle. 

Next me and my little brother looked at the water. It still looked cold.

After that we went in the car and we saw two fishing rods.

One for me and one for my little brother. 

We went on the wharf and my mum was watching us fish. 

I caught a big fish then my brother was waiting

and he caught a small fish and he dropped it in the water.

He cried because he was sad. 

Then my big brother came with my aunty and he bought  his fishing rod.

He almost caught a fish but it dropped back down.

Next he caught another one. It was bigger than my one.

He was excited. He was jumping up and down.

He was yelling, “Look I caught a fish.” 

After that we took our fish home and cooked them for our dinner.

They tasted yum.

I had an amazing day.
